Christian Association of Parent Educators or CAPE-NM is a non-profit organization established in 1996 by homeschooling families, dedicated to informing, encouraging, and supporting the homeschooling families in New Mexico. We are also dedicated to protecting parents’ rights, and believe that the liberty of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children is a fundamental right. You can join CAPE using the link below.

Also through this link registration for the CAPE Homeschool Convention held in April. Check the website in Feb-March for early bird registration and dates. When you join you get on their email list and start receiving updates.

The Education Resource Center (ERC) is a ministry of Grace Baptist Chapel

The ERC provides a facility where volunteer veteran homeschoolers can provide advice, support, encouragement, curriculum consultation, a curriculum library, homeschool supplies, testing and referrals, and homeschool community resource information.

Testing: ERC Stanford Achievement Test given in May- get on the email list so you can receive info for registration sometime in March-April.

*Email the ERC a request to be added to their email list so you can receive homeschool community resource information such as testing dates, curriculum sales, events around town, music lessons, homeschool events.

  • The Petroglyph Lending Library is located at St Francis Episcopal Church on the corner of Golf Course and Cabezon, in Rio Rancho.
  • Cherry Hills Library is located at 6901 Barstow NE, and stocks some homeschool curriculum.

Popejoy Schooltime Series: Education through the arts for grades PreK – 12 by Popejoy Hall, University of New Mexico. The Schooltime Series is an educational outreach program for the performing arts by Popejoy Hall.

Students from PreK-12th grades can join us for exciting learning experiences in language arts, fine arts, social studies, science and literature. Performance disciplines include theater, music, dance, puppetry and more.

Schooltime Series tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, August 14th, 2015 at 7:30 AM.

We welcome all schools: public, private, Pueblo and homeschools, including students and classrooms with ADA accessibility requirements.

You can go with a friend or just you and your kids. You don’t have to enter as a group or with a school. Tickets are $2 per person.

Westside Homeschool Resource Center will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church on the corner of Golf Course and Cabezon. The center will be open every other Thursday (to begin with) from 9-12. As we get more organized- hopefully the hours will extend. We are currently taking curriculum donations as well as book shelf donations (we need two more).
